About the Role

The Network Operations Centre Analyst is an exciting and integral part of Latham’s Technology team. This unique new role will be responsible for continuously monitoring the performance and health of the firm’s technology infrastructure such as databases, network devices, virtualisation, storage, and compute. The Analyst will develop collaborative, interactive relationships with subject matter experts within the Global Technology department to ensure the Network Operations Centre (“NOC”) monitoring is functioning well for newly onboarded infrastructure and applications. This role will be located in our Manchester office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting supervisor and core infrastructure and business technology teams to create regular performance and system capacity reports for regular updates to senior management on system capacity for budgeting and forecasting
  • Operating numerous vendor, windows, network, and monitoring tool-sets to provide stakeholders the information necessary to ensure the firm’s network, applications, and IT services are healthy and available
  • Working closely with members of Platform Service Operations team to provide efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs for issue remediation
  • Initiating maintenance and troubleshooting steps; diagnosing problems, testing, recommending, and implementing solutions to technology problems and drawing valid conclusions where required
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for Continual Service Improvement for key services alongside Event, Problem, Incident, and Change Management and NOC best practice activities

And have:

 

  • Certification/s in one or more: ITIL, Azure, AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco
  • Relevant experience in a helpdesk, NOC, or IT support role and working with or supporting Microsoft technology components
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues and applying a technical troubleshooting methodology to determine the cause of faults or other issues
  • Basic understanding of servers and systems including windows, switches, routers, VMWare, and ancillary services
