About the Role

The Financial Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Financial Analysis team. This role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support for the firm, while preparing recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting related to client statistics and firm financial metrics. This role will be located in either our London, or Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Creating analysis and responding to various requests by applying financial and analytical skills
  • Utilizing Data-Mining and Database mechanisms to obtain data and organizing the information to facilitate effective analysis and creating analytical reports
  • Utilizing Database mechanisms and Microsoft Access to develop and improve reporting processes
  • Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures and assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks
  • Making recommendations and working with management to develop procedures, processes, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency in the Financial Information Center (FIC) department
  • Developing standard tools for reporting and analyzing data

  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
  • Possess the ability to work independently to research, analyze, and develop financial information

 

And have:

 

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Relevant analytical experience in finance or accounting
  • Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports, preferably
