About the Role

The Payroll Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team.  This role will be responsible for performing all activities necessary to process payroll efficiently and accurately, while maintaining the payroll team email inbox, responding to employee payroll queries, performing data entry tasks in various payroll systems, and reviewing and updating the payroll submission documents. This role will be located in either our London or Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively collating all payroll-related supporting documentation, e.g. starters, leavers, maternity, etc.
  • Processing new starters (e.g., ensuring all new hire documentation is received) and leavers (e.g., ensuring all leaver documentation is submitted to employees)
  • Uploading and inputting additional ad hoc spreadsheet information in the payroll software, e.g. overtime, benefits, additional allowances
  • Assisting with the maintenance of employee personal data through the firm’s payroll systems
  • Liaising with the Well-Being & Benefits department to ensure the timely process of benefits payroll administration

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey department procedures and objectives in a professional and tactful manner
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion
  • Exhibit knowledge and understanding of typical work processes performed daily in an office environment

And have:

  • Experience in a payroll/legal accounting role, preferably
  • Experience with Multiple Payroll Frequencies, preferably
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably
