About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Senior Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for recruiting lateral associates and delivering consistent practices and processes across our offices in Europe and the Middle East. This role will oversee the end-to-end candidate recruiting processes, manage search agency relationships, coordinate with other internal teams, represent the firm at events and ensure their knowledge is fully up to date with employment laws and market trends. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with global and local recruiting teams to help build out the EME Recruiting Hub services, supporting the associate recruiting manager
  • Developing and implementing strategic recruiting plans to attract lateral associates in alignment with the firm’s growth objectives
  • Leading on all aspects of the end-to-end recruiting process, from vacancy approval through to offer negotiation and candidate onboarding for designated regional practice groups
  • Proactively sourcing candidates in EME through various channels including direct outreach, referral campaigns, and by developing strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies
  • Staying informed about market trends and competitive intelligence in the legal industry across Europe and the Middle East; using intel to form tailored messaging around each individual practice
  • Proactively using data insights and recruiting expertise to continuously improve lateral associate recruitment best practices and processes

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organisational levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus
  • Possess advanced organisational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritise tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, with the ability to perceive complex problems and make sound decisions independently
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, interview platforms, and other necessary software, with the capability to undertake large projects, develop alternative methods, and implement solutions effectively

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in legal or professional services recruitment or professional services
  • Experience in developing influential relationships with senior stakeholders and experience in leading aspects of change management and transformation projects and delivering their outcome
  • Experience of delivering impactful direct candidate sourcing strategies and driving innovation in lateral recruiting practices
