About the Role

The GLODOCS Specialist I is an integral part of Latham’s Global Document Services (GLODOCS) team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of core document support duties such as, converting, formatting, and otherwise automating and manipulating legal documents and other work products using MS Office and other core applications, while recording work in the firm’s timekeeping system as well as the ServiceNow GLODOCS log. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

 

Please also note, the schedule for this role will be Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00PM-12:00AM GMT. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Completing various core-level projects in Word, including creating new documents, formatting, generating Table of Contents, and adding cross-references
  • Completing various core-level projects in Excel, including creating new workbooks/sheets, formatting cells/tables/rows/columns, and using simple formulas
  • Completing various core-level projects in PowerPoint, including revising slides, inputting/revising text, inserting graphics, and formatting/reapplying slide design and layout
  • Utilizing Acrobat Professional to compress .pdf files, create searchable and non-searchable .pdfs, and crop pages as needed

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess basic knowledge of applications typically used in a legal word processing environment, such as MS Office Suite, Acrobat, Visio, and other software
  • Display the ability to learn new software and procedures
  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

And have:

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent
  • Microsoft certifications in Word Core, Excel Core, and PowerPoint, preferably
  • Related experience working as a document specialist at a professional services organization
