About the Role

The Legal Talent Senior Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Talent team. This role will be responsible for providing advanced support to Legal Talent leadership in executing strategic initiatives within their remit, while driving initiatives within their office, committee, or department/practice group remit to enhance morale and retention, utilising critical thinking to develop and implement innovative programmes, and providing strategic advice on professional development, staffing, and performance-related issues. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing utilisation and pace, coordinating work assignments, offering strategic insights and recommendations to optimise talent management, and demonstrating judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions
  • Designing and implementing integration and training programmes for new hires and lateral attorneys, serving as a key point of contact for integration and development, while overseeing inter-office transfers and joiner/leaver processes with discretion and autonomy
  • Leading the strategic planning and execution of attorney-related events, meetings, and orientations, optimising resource allocation and negotiating with third-party vendors to enhance the impact and efficiency of these initiatives, while ensuring alignment with firm objectives and fostering professional growth
  • Providing advanced support to various firm committees, departments, and practice groups by acting as a liaison between local and global management committees, ensuring effective communication and information sharing, while conducting research and data analysis to generate reports focused on complex data sets and strategic insights
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organisational levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus
  • Possess advanced organisational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritise tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, while using independent judgment for decision-making
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and other necessary software, with the ability to undertake large projects, develop alternative methods, and implement solutions

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in legal talent or professional services
