About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Specialist – Lateral Associates, EME is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team, responsible for driving full‑cycle lateral associate recruitment across Europe and the Middle East. Based in London, the Specialist will ensure consistent recruiting practices and processes across our regional offices and manage assigned requisitions for designated practice groups and jurisdictions from vacancy approval through offer, collaborating with the Associate Recruiting Manager for guidance as needed. This role may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid working schedule that combines in‑office and remote work.

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for candidates, recruitment agencies, and internal stakeholders for assigned matters, ensuring a consistent and positive candidate experience
  • Partnering with the Associate Recruiting Manager to implement recruiting strategies and initiatives, contributing operational insight and market feedback
  • Coordinating and managing relationships with approved search firms, ensuring compliance with firm policies, processes, and fee arrangements
  • Supporting interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding activity, working closely with HR and other internal teams
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system and producing regular recruitment reports and metrics

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with candidates, recruitment agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously, prioritising competing deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Display a solid understanding of lateral associate recruitment practices within a legal or professional services environment

 

And have:

 

  • Experience in legal recruitment or professional services
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
