About the Role

The Business Development Assistant – BD CORE is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team and will be responsible for collaborating with various teams within the department to execute tasks that are integral to the success of the firm’s Business Development objectives, while providing a high level of customer service to internal and external clients. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively keeping abreast of firm resources, contacts, and subject matter experts to provide alternative solutions when a request cannot be fulfilled via the designated Business Development CORE team or can be fulfilled more efficiently through an alternative resource
  • Entering all assigned service requests into the ServiceNow ticketing system and monitoring tickets from open to close status, ensuring all service level agreements are met
  • Learning Latham-specific tools and applications as necessary to perform certain research or other related job duties
  • Supporting the global Business Development department with a suite of core services, including biography edits, client and competitor research and analysis, utilizing Pitchbook, and other publicly available resources, conducting research for client seminars and client events, providing marketing collateral support including updates to client presentations, pitch documents, directory submissions, and newsletters, executing CRM research, updates, and data entry, updating and producing expense and invoice reports, and document conversion and formatting (Word and PPT)
  • Assisting with special projects when necessary

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
  • Display excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus

And have:

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in a related field, preferably
  • Professional services or law firm experience, preferably
